A laparoscopic hysterectomy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows the surgeon to see the surrounding organs with a minimal incision.    Small surgical instruments, cameras, and lights are used to assist the surgeon in the operation. The advantages of a laparoscopic hysterectomy procedure include less post-operative discomfort, less scarring, less complications, and a shorter hospital stay. In comparison to conventional hysterectomies, this method needs smaller incisions.
