Antenatal Management

Antenatal Management

The majority of couples choose to start a family, and many of them are able to do so naturally within the first 12 months of marriage

Many that are unable to conceive need a variety of treatments, including Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) (ART). The most advanced method of infertility treatment is IVF–ET (In Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer). Over a million babies have been born since the advent of IVF. Infertility treatment has advanced dramatically in recent decades, especially in the last 20–30 years.

Pregnancies after IVF–ET are difficult to manage because the couples  are concerned, apprehensive, and worried about the result. Since the patients are elderly and may have other co-morbid conditions, pregnancy following IVF–ET is considered high risk. The goals of antenatal care are to enhance maternal and fetal health, provide women with maternal and fetal screening, make medical  interventions available to women as needed, improve women’s pregnancy and birth experiences, and prepare women for perfect motherhood. The aim of antenatal care is to provide frequent check-ups that enable doctors  to treat and prevent possible health problems during pregnancy, as well as to encourage healthy lifestyles that support both the mother and the child.
