Endometriosis
Endometriosis
The development of endometrial tissue (the inner layer of the uterus) outside the uterus is known as endometriosis. When a woman menstruates, there may be bleeding in the extrauterine tissue as well, causing extreme pain and heavy bleeding during cycles. If it gets inside the ovary, it creates a chocolate cyst, which affects ovum production and eventually destroys the ovum. When these bleeding spots recover, they can cause adhesions between two organs, which will obstruct tube movement. All of this will lead to infertility issues.
We prefer to identify and treat endometriosis if you exhibit any of the symptoms listed below.
- Persistent menstrual pains in your back, pelvic, or legs
- Pre and post-menstrual pain
- Period pain that began in your twenties
- Pain while having sex or using the restroom
- Ovulatory discomfort
- Heavy menstrual bleeding or bleeding in the middle of the menstrual cycle
- A family history of endometriosis
The treatment will be customized to the client, and care will be executed accordingly.
- Surgical treatment: operative laparoscopy is used when surgery is needed. If a chocolate cyst exists, it will be extracted. Other endometriotic lesions can be removed as well. The tubal status at the time of surgery is recorded.
- Medical Treatment: Hormone injections once a month may be given after surgery or when the doctor believes the disease is still in its early stages. There is also a hormonal pill that must be taken on a daily basis. These drugs stop her periods and keep the illness, as well as the symptoms, under control.
- Fertility treatment: It is preferable for a woman with endometriosis to conceive as soon as possible. The six-month cycle following surgery is the golden period, when fertility is at its peak. Your doctor will determine which mode is best for you to conceive faster based on the surgical findings. Pregnancy can also be a cure for the disease.
